Sulaym ibn Qays said: “I met Ali (A.S) I asked him about whatever Umar had done. He said: “Do you know why he stopped from Qunfuz and did not make anything compulsory?”
So I said: NO.
He said: “Because he is that man who had hit Fatimah (S.A) when she came in- between me and those people. So she (S.A) passed away and she had the effect of being hit by a whip on her shoulder.”
