Why only Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib is qualified to be Ameerul Momineen?

Why only Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) is qualified to be Ameerul Momineen?

Many claimants to caliphate have usurped titles that were exclusively for Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.s.), like the title of ‘Ameerul Momineen’.
What is the origin of this title, who bestowed it and on whom?

All these questions are answered in the Sermon of Ghadeer. If only the Muslims had paid attention to this sermon, they would have not been wandering in confusion for 1,400 years.

Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) appoints Ali (a.s.) as Ameerul Momineen

None other than Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) himself appointed Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) as Ameerul Momineen on the command of Allah.

Holy Prophet in the Sermon of Ghadeer:

Indeed, there is no Commander for the Believers save this brother of mine (Ali a.s.), and it is not permissible to call anyone other than him with the title of ‘Commander of the Believers’ after me.

Al-Ehtejaaj v 2 p 56-66
This and many other reports establish that Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) was the sole recipient of the title of Ameerul Momineen (a.s.). Those who have appropriated this title for themselves are usurpers and evidently they and those who refer them as Ameerul Momineen have both angered Allah and His Prophet (s.a.w.a.).
